The pontoon party at The Little Ship Club at One Mile was a huge success. There were 6 yachts Shanda, Purr-fik, Boom, Hasta La Vista, The Lady Claire and Steppin’ Along. Four yachts moored up at the pontoon and Shanda and Steppin’ Along anchored in the harbour. A few of the party goers got a head start and arrived the day before and had a pre-pontoon-party party. This got the locals prepared for what was to come. With the noise complaints out of the way the real party could start the next night. It obviously worked as there were no complaints this time. After nibblies and drinks we headed up to the restaurant for a nice meal. One tip is that it is cheaper to buy a Bloody Mary Mix, Vodka and a plate of Oysters and make your own than it is to buy Bloody Mary Shots.
As can be seen from the photos everyone had a lot of fun. I am sure next years will be bigger and better so mark this event in your calander.
The next day was another glassy morning so we headed over to Horseshoe Bay for breakfast and then as the wind picked up, headed home.
