St Helena Cruise Report
A fantastic day cruise to St Helena Island was held on Saturday 22nd May. There were 12 participants from six boats. Because it was just a day trip we distributed ourselves between McMoggy and Nicky C for the short trip across from manly to St Helena. We had picked up two guides from Manly, one was a prisoner and the other a prison guard. They gave us a fascinating tour of the prison ruins and a very enlightening demonstration of flogging with the cat o' nine tails. Curious that Alasdair's daughters took to it like they'd had prior experience... Everyone agreed that it was a great trip and well worth the token entry fee to pay for the guides. We were back home by the middle of Saturday afternoon.
