Sailing Committee Report: Mike Hodges,

  • Odin Trophy Clean sweep by Frequent Flyer. Chris picked the right side of the course on first leg along with new light weather sails.
  • Fairway Challenge 21 st February Postponed until  March 21st
  • B to G: Likely 15 to 16 boats with 13 paid entries to date.  Looks like a strong field.
  • Expect 5 boats will require weighing & OMR measurement.
  • Meeting with QCYC with Bruce & Mike. Requires marshal boats at Start.

  • QCYC summer series race 3 on 14th

Cruising report: Ray.

  • 5 boats went to Deanbilla last weekend – see report in Multinews.
  • Next Cruise event is Gladstone Cruise – lack of interest at the moment.

Social Committee Report: Bruce on behalf of Lyn.

  • B to G Briefing at DPSS  on Wednesday prior to race.
  • B to G Presentation at Port Curtis Yacht Club on Monday Morning.
  • Bris Vegas Night to be postponed due to Tinny & Tackle show, now 23 May
  • Library: Quote for shelving imminent.

General Business:

YQ  update from John Hamaty – Average club membership in Qld is 85, so we are around average size when RQ & Southport excluded.

B to G Tee Shirts – Chris Wren- Will have a list of the 50 previous winners on back.

Jim Stubbings – No longer trophy officer – Lyn Wieland working hard on this.

Phil Day – possible cruise to Lord Howe Island in November Any interested members please contact Phil.
