Saturday 13th June – In a 10-15 knot Southeasterly five MYCQ boats joined in the Anchor & Sail Past with ten monos, as part of the Remax Wynnum Illuminations Festival.

• Colandi – (Col & Di Graham with Lyn & Bruce)
• Purr-fik – with 10 of Ray’s family on board
• Rythmic – joined Colandi for drinks
• Fantasia – Andrew Stansky and family

The sail past organiser was Matthew from Rising Tide a new nautical event organiser. This is the first ‘Sail Past’ and they plan to have it bigger and forward plan more next year.

There was a crowd of 12,000 people. It was fun with all the boats illuminated off the Wynnum jetty and  we ‘sailed past’ after the fireworks at 8.00pm. We were in position at 4.30pm.
